One narrow band of equipment, done properly
A Denver practice for built-in Sub-Zero refrigeration, and for the part of it nobody else publishes: which series you own, what it still gets parts for, and what a visit costs.
Sub-Zero built-ins run in two lines, not one. The full-size line runs 500, 600, BI, and is sold today as Classic; the integrated line runs 700 Series, then IT and IC, and is sold today as Designer.
The designation decides almost everything practical: where the rating plate sits, whether the panel has electronic diagnostics on it, which fan motor and which board fit, and whether a part is still catalogued.
So the work starts at the plate. Model and serial before a van moves, the right spares loaded, and a first-visit diagnosis that is realistic instead of hopeful.
Denver adds its own pattern. Dry room air means recurring frost is a seal or a defrost circuit rather than humidity; a sun-facing kitchen or an attached garage loads a condenser harder than the setting suggests; city water scales an ice module first.
And at 5,280 feet a low-side gauge reading is not the figure a sea-level chart prints — which matters when the question is whether a system is short of charge or short of airflow.
What this practice does not do: quote a repair sight unseen, open a machine before the price is agreed, or promise the cabinet will be cold by morning. It is run back down while we are there and the readings are yours to see.
What drives the number
The visit and a full diagnosis are $89 flat. Approve the repair and that $89 comes straight off what you pay.
The repair itself comes out of six bands, always as a range. A range is the honest form of a price for a fault nobody has looked at yet, and the figure inside it is settled with you before anything is dismantled or ordered.

Two ways in, and nothing to fill in
Give us the model number and what the cabinet is holding. That is usually enough to know which circuit is at fault before anyone is dispatched — and which parts belong on the van.
